Ono’s Clinical Social Law 2018 Summer Sessions A Stunning Success

This week, Ono Academic College’s Center for Clinical Social Law concluded its summer sessions at our campuses across the country.  Throughout the summer, the students advanced their clinical legal education, learning about the intersection of social issues and the judicial system via classrooms lectures, group projects, meetings with esteemed legal personalities, and visits to non-profit organizations.

While one group focused heavily on accessibility in Israel’s judicial system, another learned about “forgotten populations,” like women who live in shelters following incidents of domestic abuse, and each lawyer’s social responsibilities to assist them.  In the end, each student thanked their professors for the personal attention and professional guidance they provided throughout the summer, an experience that represents a significant step towards their aspirations of changing the face of Israeli society through its legal system.
